Payment
SwitchbackTrading.com accepts all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. When placing a credit card order totaling more than $300.00 (excluding taxes) or placing a custom order, a 50% deposit is required at the time of order. You will be notified by email when your order is ready to be shipped to your location. Upon notification of shipment, the remaining balance will be collected.
Orders totaling less than $300.00 (excluding taxes) do not require a deposit and are payable in full at the time that the order is shipped.
When entering your credit card information through SwitchbackTrading.com's secure connection, please enter the address and telephone number exactly as they appear on the statement from your credit card company/financial institution. Your telephone information is collected for your security as part of the verification process. Your telephone number will not be released to third parties, and you will never receive a telephone solicitation from SwitchbackTrading.com. Please see our privacy policy for more information.
For certain orders, many banks and credit card companies require that we only ship your order to your credit card billing address, or an authorized, alternate address that has been approved by your financial institution. If you wish for your purchase to be shipped to an address other than one on file with your financial institution, please contact the credit card company/financial institution immediately and ask them to place the new shipping address on record.

Security
Ordering from our site is as secure as ordering via a catalog or using your credit card at your favorite restaurant. At Switchback we use SSL (Secure Socket Layering) to protect your information as it travels over the internet. We also hold a secure key, or digital certificate, through Verisign. This key ensures that we are who we say we are, and that any data exchanged online is protected from theft and tampering.
To be sure your connection is secure, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser window. If you see an unbroken key or closed lock (depending on your browser), the SSL is active and your information is secure Consumer protection laws protect you against any unauthorized use of your credit card. Federal law dictates that your legal liability is limited to $50 if your credit card number is used without your permission. If you suspect any illegal use of your card, call your issuing bank immediately to make sure your rights are protected.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are available through the Gifts category on the home page. Select the denomination that's right for you, and we will send them their certificate through the mail. At the present time, we are currently unable to redeem Gift Certificates online, but would be happy to do so via mail.

Gift Wrapping
Put a finishing touch on your gift purchase with a signature-quality gift box. Gift boxing is available on most items, except some furniture, for $5.00 per gift box. Those items that can't be gift boxed will not allow you the option of selecting it. Given the size of the boxes, we can only put in one item per box. Please indicate how you would like your gift card signed.

Under the Switchback Shopping Guarantee, non-custom merchandise purchased at regular, non-sale prices can be returned within thirty (30) days of delivery for a merchandise replacement of equal value or a full refund. You will not be charged for shipping, handling, or re-stocking. Please refer to the section on Arranging for Returns or Replacement for important information concerning merchandise returns.
Switchback Trading.com regularly offers our customers the opportunity to order custom or specialized products, or to request product options not commonly offered by the manufacturer. All custom products and options will be clearly identified as "special order," so as not to be confused with our standard offerings. Due to the individualized nature of "special order" furniture, accessories, and upholstery, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required on all orders for these items. If you are not satisfied with your "special order" item, you may return them within thirty (30) days of delivery for a refund less the 50% deposit. However, this forfeited deposit amount will be available to you in the form of a merchandise credit for a period of thirty days from the date of cancellation.
All sale items are non-refundable, but can be returned for replacement or merchandise credit. Credit-card refunds are processed immediately after we receive your pre-authorized, returned merchandise in its original condition.

Shipping
Standard Delivery: Switchback Trading.com utilizes the best available ground delivery service for your order. Standard delivery for accessories and other small items is via UPS Ground service. Larger items, such as furniture, are transported via specialized furniture trucking companies. Please see the section on furniture delivery for more information. Please note that, for all ground deliveries, you must be present to sign for, and inspect, your order. Please see our Inspecting Your Delivery section for instructions to be followed in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your order.
If you are a resident of Alaska or Hawaii, or are interested in other delivery options, please contact our Customer Service department for the best available shipping rates to your area.
For all standard deliveries UPS ground normally takes 7-10 business days to arrive. If you are shipping to a PO Box, we ship with the USPS. We can provide you a tracking number with all UPS deliveries, so if you have a physical address for shipment, that is preferable. The rates for shipping and handling are as follows:

These shipping rates are for standard non-furniture items.
If you have selected 2 day delivery, your order will arrive three business days from the date of placing the order. If you have selected overnight delivery, it will arrive two business days from the date of order. In order to take advantage of these delivery times, your order must be placed before noon Mountain Standard Time. If it is placed after noon, then add one business day to delivery times. If you have questions about this, call us at 1-877-948-8080.
2 day air is an additional $7.50 compared to ground delivery, and overnight is an extra $15.00. Please consult the freight chart with your order total. Orders must be placed by 12 p.m. MST and require a street address. Additional charges may apply to orders over 10lbs for express delivery service.
Shipping time from our warehouse to you (or from the manufacturer to you) is in addition to any product lead-times noted. Standard delivery for accessories and other small items is via UPS Ground service. UPS publishes its approximate shipping transit times at www.ups.com.
Furniture Delivery: Many furniture pieces or bulky items must be shipped via freight. These items may take several weeks for delivery, and a message will appear on the item availability page informing you that your selection will be shipped via freight. You will be notified by mail 1-2 weeks before delivery, and the carrier will contact you by telephone to set up a delivery appointment (you must provide a phone number with your order). These delivery times vary more widely than those for smaller items shipped via UPS. Although we cannot provide exact delivery dates for items shipped in this manner, our friendly customer service representatives will help you track your shipment and will assist in contacting the shipping company to help you plan for the delivery. Product Lead-Times
Switchback Trading.com is in constant communication with our brand-name manufacturers to ensure that you are presented with the most up-to-date information on product availability. For your convenience, we post estimated availability information within the "more information" section of each product. This information is updated on a daily basis.
Switchback Trading.com makes every effort to ensure that you can enjoy your fine gift or home furnishing. Selected gifts and accessories are available for shipment within 24 hours. However, most furniture items require six (6) to twelve (12) weeks, or longer, before they are ready for shipment. While Switchback
Trading.com continually works with our brand-name suppliers to shorten lead-times for our customers, the craftsmanship exhibited in many pieces is the direct result of a made-to-order manufacturing process. Thus, our stated times for product availability are only estimates. Switchback Trading.com is subject to manufacturers' production schedules and cannot be held responsible for their delay.

Inspecting Your Delivery
Switchback Trading.com offers quality products from the best brand names, and makes every effort to ensure that these products are packaged and delivered by the most reputable and qualified shipping companies. Despite these precautions, the possibility does exist that your order may arrive with minor transit damage, or, in rare instances, with a minor manufacturing defect.
When your order arrives, please take the time to inspect it to ensure that the paperwork is accurate, the correct number and type of items have been delivered, and that the shipment is free from any damage or defect. It is imperative that you make a report of any damage or defect immediately upon delivery by noting the problem on the freight carrier's Bill of Lading and contacting Switchback Trading.com Customer Service. Switchback Trading.com is unable to accept responsibility for any damage that has not been noted on the Bill of Lading, or any defect that is reported more than 24 hours following delivery. Do not assemble defective furniture unless you are able to disassemble it for packaging into its original shipping containers for return to us.
When you make a report of damage or defect to Switchback Trading.com Customer Service department, we will take immediate action to remedy the situation. In most cases, the first step to resolving a damage claim is to arrange for an in-home inspection of the damaged piece by a certified WoodPro(r) furniture repair technician. This in-home inspection will be provided at absolutely no cost and will be scheduled through Switchback Trading.com Customer Service to take place at a time that is convenient to yourbusy schedule.
In most cases the WoodPro(r) technician or other affiliated furniture repair specialist can make a professional repair on-site, leaving you to enjoy your new furniture purchase as soon as possible. However, if the technician determines that more extensive work is necessary to correct the problem, our Customer Service department will be contacted to issue a Return Merchandise Authorization Call (RMAC) that will allow the damaged piece to be picked-up from your home free of charge for additional repair or replacement. Please see our section Arranging for Return or Replacement for more information.

Arranging for Return or Replacement
UPS is the preferred carrier for sending back returns because they are able to track the package for you. They will automatically insure the package up to $100, if your purchase is more than that, you should consider insurance. Go to the Yahoo yellow pages and enter the search words 'mailing and shipping services' to access UPS authorized shipping agents in your neighborhood.
To arrange for the exchange or return of an item, simply contact our Customer Service department to begin the process. Customer Service will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or Return Merchandise Authorization Call (RMAC) that you will need to place inside the package. Please include the packing slip that you received with your shipment, and indicate the reason for the return, and the action you'd like us to take. With the exception of items that were delivered via Switchback Trading.com 's White Glove, In-Home Delivery service, you must keep all of the original packaging materials, cartons, or crates in which your order arrived. You are responsible for re-packing the items in their original packaging for return. If you are returning furniture that require assembly, please do not assemble the furniture unless you are able to disassemble it for packaging into its original shipping containers for return to us.
In addition to the original packaging, please be careful to include all of the accompanying manufacturer literature, instructions, hardware, and other materials with the return shipment.
Switchback Trading.com cannot pay for the cost of unauthorized repairs or returns, or for the return of items which cannot be shipped in their original packaging either as a result of the fact that the containers have not been retained, or because the furniture cannot be disassembled. Unidentifiable and/or unauthorized returns will be refused. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable for returned items, however, Switchback will typically issue a Return Merchandise Authorization Call (RMAC) for exchanges. There are no additional shipping charges for even exchanges.
A personalized or custom-made order is made to your specifications and therefore cannot be cancelled. It may be returned, however, you will regretfully be charged 50% of the original purchase price plus shipping and handling. If your custom order arrives damaged or defective we will happily provide a replacement for the item you ordered.
If your order was delivered via Switchback Trading.com's White Glove, In-Home Delivery service, please contact Customer Service for specific instructions on how to arrange for a merchandise return or replacement.

Applicable Taxes
SwitchbackTrading.com collects sales tax for items shipped to any address within the state of Utah (7.50%). For orders shipped outside of Utah, but within the United States, SwitchbackTrading.com is not required to collect sales tax

Order Confirmation and Notification
When you make a purchase with SwitchbackTrading.com, you will receive an email notifying you that your order has been received by our Customer Service department. This message will list the items that you have purchased and the purchase amount. Please review your order information upon receipt of this email and contact our Customer Service department if you have any questions or need to make any changes to your order. For your convenience, please save or print this email message containing your order number.
In addition to sending a confirmation message, our Customer Service department will keep you advised of your order's progress via e-mail. These reminders will alert you to changes in order status, and will contain additional comments from our Customer Service representatives regarding product lead-times and shipping information.

Order Processing
When our Customer Service department receives your order, it is reviewed for accuracy and communicated to our brand-name manufacturers to verify that the items in your order are in-stock in the quantity and style that you have requested. If your order requires a deposit, the deposit amount will be charged at this time.
Once your order has been processed and verified with our brand-name manufacturers, you will receive another email informing you that your order has been confirmed. This email will also contain information regarding the estimated lead-time for your order. Shipping or delivery time from our warehouse to you (or from the manufacturer to you) lead-times noted.
If the manufacturers inform us of a change in the availability of any of the items in your order, you will be notified immediately by e-mail. We regret that such changes can cause delays in your estimated shipping time. While SwitchbackTrading.com is not responsible for changes in our manufacturers' inventories or production times, our Customer Service staff will work closely with the manufacturers to ensure that your order is shipped as soon as possible.

How to measure yourself: To obtain the most precise, to-the-body measurement, wear underclothing with minimal fullness. Use a full-length mirror, if possible. It may be easier (and more accurate) to have a family member or friend do the actual measuring. If you're aware of a particular figure trait you have (such as a low waist or small shoulders) make a note of it. Such specifics can be helpful in obtaining your ideal fit.
- Height: Stand with normal posture, barefoot, on a level floor. If your height is 5'4" or under, you're a candidate for petite sizes.
- Bust/upper torso: Measure around the fullest area, with the tape measure parallel to the floor.
- Waist: Hold the tape measure around your waist where it feels most natural (the tape measure might not be strictly parallel to the floor).
- Rise: Measure from the center of your back waist, through the legs, to the center of your front waist.
- High hip: Measure around the higher part of your hip; about 4" or so below your natural waist, but above the low hip.
- Low hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hip; about 8" or so below your natural waist, before the thigh begins narrowing in again.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the inner thigh to the top of the ankle. Finding Your Fit

- Neck/Collar: Measure around the neck, plus 1" to allow for comfort.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part ofyour chest under your arm.
- Sleeves: Measure from the center collar seam at the back of your neck to the bottom of your sleeve cuff with your elbow bent.
- Waist: All of our men's pants have an average rise (the height from the crotch to the waistband), so your waist measurement should be taken about 1" above the top of your hips.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch of your pants (where the two seams cross) down one leg to the hem line. Add about 1/4" to allow for minimal shrinkage. All of our pants are prewashed to eliminate major shrinkage.
