"Made of important burr maple, this 19th century style partner's desk is crafted in the manner of Thomas Hope. The top is lined with antiqued, tooled leather. Neoclassical Lotus Petal mouldings are applied to the frieze. Satinwood columns with ebonized capitals flank the kneehole and ends. The sunken drawer fronts and end panels are edged with eboized mouldings. The custom made brass ring handles are typical of the period. "
